Connect SW Exeter is a team who represent St Michael's Church and the wider community. We aim to help build community for everyone in the new housing schemes and to welcome residents in the name of Jesus.
This website, updated weekly, provides you with information about what's on in Alphington and the surrounding area - upcoming events, weekly activities, clubs and classes as well as volunteering opportunities and support groups. There's so much going on... just keep scrolling!!!
And, if it's not on here, let me know about it! Jane, Connect SW Coordinator, jane@alphingtonstmichaels.org .
Feedback from resident of Haldon Reach: 'This website is great! Very informative and easy to navigate.'
Every week, new neighbours arrive. Gardens turn from brown to green. Houses become homes. Building sites turn into communities. From Alphington, we want to reach out the hand of welcome to residents newly arrived.
Connect SW Exeter works with Church and community in Alphington to grow the connections which turn building projects into homes, and streets into communities. We hope to serve every new and existing resident of Alphington so that your lives here can flourish and prosper. So, whether you’re recently moved in, or you’ve been here a while, we’re here to help.
Every new resident should have received a Welcome Pack with a magazine, a “What’s On leaflet” and a list of regular community clubs, classes and activities. If it didn’t come, or if it got lost in the flurry and excitement of creating your new home, do contact us and we’ll deliver another one.

Westbank also seeks Community Transport Drivers
You could be helping patients who don’t qualify for hospital transport services and have no one else to take them home (covering the footprint of the RDUH), also supporting local residents of Exminster and Starcross in getting to their medical appointments, or providing rides to and from social groups and activities organised by Westbank. You might also deliver accessibility equipment, move furniture for hospital beds, or do a food shop for someone returning from the hospital.
